Beliefs
We BELIEVE the Bible to be the inspired and only
infallible and authoritative Word of God.
We BELIEVE there is only one God eternally
manifested in the person of the Father, Son and
Holy Spirit.
We BELIEVE in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ,
in His vicarious and atoning sacrifice through
His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in
His ascension and in His future personal return
in power and glory upon the earth.
We BELIEVE that the only means of being cleansed
from sin is through repentance and faith in the
precious blood of Christ.
We BELIEVE that the five-fold ministry as
written in Ephesians 4:11, 12 is for today: "It
was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be
prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be
pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people
for works of service, so that the body of Christ
may be built up until we all reach unity in the
faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and
become mature, attaining to the whole measure of
the fullness of Christ."
We BELIEVE that God has called Midwest Christian
Center to be a healing center...not just
physical but emotional and spiritual as well.
We BELIEVE in the excellence of love as written
in 1 Corinthians 13, "Love never fails." Love is
the perfect bond of unity.
We BELIEVE that mercy is God's supply system for
every need everywhere.
We BELIEVE in the manifestation of the gifts of
the Holy Spirit as written in 1 Corinthians 12.
Man Chose to Disobey God
Man exercised his God-given ability and chose to
disobey God. This was sin.
According to the Bible, Sin is:
Missing the mark, a failure to be what God
created you to be.
A deliberate choosing to do what is
wrong--rebellion against God.
A condition in which you are separated from God.
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory
of God." Romans 3:23
Christ Died for us
Although Christ died for all men, why aren't all
men Christians?
Because every man must make a personal response
-- by faith.
"But God proved His love toward us in that while
we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans
5:8
You can receive Christ
"But as many as received Him, to those who
believed in His name, He gave the right to
become children of God." John 1:12
By faith, you can receive Jesus Christ. You can
invite him into your life.
Once Christ comes into your life, He wants to be
your Lord and Master and give meaning and real
purpose to your life. He can do this only as you
allow Him to.
"And He died for all, that those who live should
no longer live for themselves but for Him who
died for them and rose again. " II Corinthians
5:15
"For this very reason, Christ died and returned
to life so that He might be the Lord" Romans
14:9
Do you want to receive Christ?
If you want to receive Christ, you can pray this
prayer. Remember that becoming a real Christian
is not just saying the words but receiving a
person...Jesus Christ.
Dear Lord:
I know I have done wrong. I am willing to turn
from my sins. I believe Jesus Christ died for
me. Please come into my life and forgive my
sins. I receive you into my life as savior and
Lord as best I know how right now. Amen.
